Quantification of HER3 expression in human cancer tissue by digital image analysis of mRNA in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry
30 November 2016
By Keith Bowers

A poster entitled ‘Quantification of HER3 expression in human cancer tissue by digital image analysis of mRNA in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry’ produced by OracleBio in collaboration with Indivumed GmbH was presented at the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Symposium from the 29th November to the 2nd December 2016. The poster shows data from a study in which HER3 mRNA and protein expression in human cancer tissues were quantitatively assessed applying automated in situ hybridization (ISH)  and immunohistochemistry (IHC) in conjunction with digital image analysis. Correlations were performed between mRNA and protein expression across various cancer indications present in a tissue microarray (TMA) slide. The data demonstrates the power of mRNA and IHC quantification in clinical samples, which could support molecular diagnostic and patient stratification applications in clinical oncology R&D.
