OracleBio is pleased to announce an increase in data security with a relocation of the company server to Scotland’s first GXP compliant data centre.
OracleBio’s server is now stored at DataVita, which is located next door to OracleBio’s offices at BioCity Scotland. The facility is one of the most advanced data centres in the UK, with every rack housed in a secure pod with cage and electronic access control systems. The site is protected by a state of the art security system, including CCTV, biometric readers and 10 layers of security to pass through to gain access to the server.
The data centre provides complete fire protection for the server, with a gas suppression system and aspirating smoke detection in all data halls, as well as cold aisle containment for all racks and air cooling for the full facility. All data is backed up every 24 hours, ensuring complete disaster recovery. The move will provide increased security for all OracleBio data and image analysis software.
